This year RootsTech will be held 2–4 March, 2023, virtually and in-person at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City. Family Discovery Day
Family Discovery Day will be held March 4, 2023 and it will be completely free. Join Elder and Sister Gong as they embark on an international journey of family discovery and speak to the importance of uniting family—past, present, and future. You can tune in virtually or come to the Salt Palace Convention Center to enjoy Elder and Sister Gong's message, and also enjoy activities and experiences that help you and your family unite as you discover more about your family history.
Family History Learning
Learn about family history on March 2–4, 2023, and all year long. Learn from hundreds of classes that teach how to do family history from beginner to advanced! Watch classes online that share how adding family history efforts to your life strengthens families and forms a stronger bond with your Heavenly Father.
Temple and Family History Leadership Instruction
Leadership Instruction will be held on March 2, 2023. Watch and learn how to help those you serve become joyfully bound to the Savior through ordinances and covenants. Elder David A. Bednar, Elder Gerrit W. Gong, and Area Presidencies from around the world will share messages and ideas about the power and protection that come from strengthening our covenants by serving our ancestors in the temple.
Young Adult Event
This year we are excited to host a young adult centered in-person event on Friday night of RootsTech, March 3, from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m at the Salt Palace Convention Center, in Salt Lake City. All young adults ages 18 to 30 are welcome to come. There will be an inspirational message, live music, treats and snacks, activities to participate in, and some big prizes to win! Don't miss out!
