Just another great day at RootsTech 2023! The second day of this 3-day conference was filled with more experiences and opportunities for uniting families and communities. We hope all our in-person and virtual attendees felt the connection!
Jennifer Jacobs and Jessica Stern, the CEO and COO of Connect Our Kids, took the main stage first today. They shared stories about strengthening the connections that foster care children have with their family and others in their support systems. After their presentation, Sony-sponsored photographer Me Ra Koh gave a powerful keynote address about resiliency, healing, and hope. "Shadows define light," she said, emphasizing that all parts of your story are worth telling and remembering, even the painful and discouraging parts.
Throughout the rest of the day, the main stage featured highlights from more of our sponsors, which included Mylio, Vivid-Pix, and GenealogyBank. Various presentations introduced the latest DNA research tools to help enhance family history.
Haven't Visited the Expo Hall Yet?
The Expo Hall has been running strong for the past 2 days, with lots of product demos and special deals from our exhibitors. The hall has also been hard at work creating a space for uniting experiences. Attendees are meeting cousins and playing games at Central Park, taking photos at the booths, and learning from fellow family history enthusiasts. Just try walking through the hall without being greeted by an old friend or a new face!
This year's in-person Expo Hall features virtual viewing areas where both in-person and online attendees can gather for energetic discussions! Whether you're here in Utah or joining RootsTech on your screen, make sure you don't skip out on visiting the Expo Hall.
