In coordination with the bishop, ward council and the high priest group leader, make sure recent converts receive their own copy of the My Family booklet. Then, help encourage and support these new members to:
- Talk. Recent converts can talk with parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents about their family stories, and fill in the booklet with those stories.
- Enter. Help new members enter their family stories, photos and family tree information into FamilySearch.org. Then help print out a Family Ordinance Request form to prepare recent converts for doing temple ordinances for their own ancestors.
- Attend. Working with the bishop, ward council, high priest group leader and the full-time missionaries, encourage recent converts to attend the temple as soon as feasible to perform baptisms for their deceased ancestors.
