FamilySearch is pleased to announce that LegacyStories.org and RecordSeek.comare the first of a new crop of Tree Access and Tree Connect certified applications that make it easy to find and associate web pages, stories, photos, or audio and video with persons in FamilySearch Family Tree. “Certified” means the product is compatible with FamilySearch.org and has features that conforms to our strict standards of quality.
or Tree Access indicates that you can read FamilySearch Family Tree data from within the vendor’s application.
or Tree Connect indicates that you can attach references for records, images, stories, and other media about your ancestor. These attached sources of evidence can be viewed by anyone using FamilySearch Family Tree.
Legacy Stories
LegacyStories.org is Tree Access certified and soon to be Tree Connect certified. Stories, photos, audio, or video can be associated with persons in FamilySearch Family Tree. “Talking Photos” adds personal audio narration to uploaded photos. Put the leaves on your family tree by giving voice to your ancestors. The site offers a full suite of exciting multimedia features.
RecordSeek
RecordSeek.com is both Tree Access and TreeConnect certified. RecordSeek.com is the easiest way to submit a web page or upload an image as a source to FamilySearch. Once you have the bookmarklet (browser add-in) installed, go to any online website, and when you see a great source, click Tree Connect in your Bookmark Toolbar to attach it to a person in FamilySearch Family Tree.
