Prepare to Succeed
Once you learn that a new consultant is called, there are a few steps you should take to ensure that he or she has a joyful experience gathering family.
- Coordinate with other lead consultants in your unit to organize who is helping whom.
- Contact local clerks to ensure the newly called consultant is entered correctly in MLS or CLR.
- Contact to the priesthood leader (Elders Quorum or Stake High Council) to identify who is leading family history efforts in the unit and if there are any specific goals or assignments.
- Reach out to the newly called consultant or helper and arrange a time to meet with him or her.
- Pray for guidance to know how to best help and support the new consultant.
