Did you know most Family History Centers have a page online in FamilySearch Wiki? These pages are designed to help the public learn about the amazing resources available at Family History Centers. Wilmette Illinois's Family History Center is a fantastic example. Contributors have added nice photographs of the interior and exterior of the building for this Chicago-area center. Hours of operation are clearly identified. Subscription websites you can access for free, ethnic resources, and Chicago books and microfilms are highlighted. Contributors have even uploaded a PDF file of the Center's holdings.
Invitation
We'd love to make all Family History Center pages this attractive and inviting. Not all of the Family History Center pages have been as well developed. To start with, could you send a photograph of your nearest center to me? We don't have photographs of all the centers and we'd love to add them to these pages. Please note that we cannot accept photos that include living people if they do not consent. Please send photos to Nathan Murphy at murphynw@familysearch.org.
Thank you in advance!
