youth4

A new family history center director’s workshop focusing on youth will soon be posted online on the Family History Director’s page on LDS.org. The workshop teaches about effectively engaging youth in a family history center. Remarkable blessings are promised to young people who participate in family history. Many examples and ideas are given on how you can help youth experience success and gain spiritual strength by doing some aspect of family history.

This workshop is the third workshop in 2015 by the family history center services team. Previous workshops for this year are:

  • Experience the My Family: Stories That Bring Us Together Booklet
  • Family History Centers: Places of Discovery

All workshops can be found by going to the director’s page and clicking the Director’s Workshop link.

Share this workshop with your priesthood leaders. Consider how branch, ward, or stake initiatives for youth can be reinforced through family history center service and activities. We would love to hear from you about what success you have had and what challenges you face. If you are in North America, send your replies through the comments section of the monthly report. For those outside of the United States, you can email your comments to support@FamilySearch.org.
