Many of you have used the FamilySearch blog to post questions asking for research help. Every day we get several blog requests asking for someone to help find an ancestor or asking for an answer to a research question. Unfortunately, this blog is not set up to enable us or other readers to contact you directly to offer assistance. We are working on that and you will soon see a change that will allow us and other users to contact you directly. Until then, here are some suggestions for how to get the help you need with your research questions.
FamilySearch Forums
FamilySearch forums is a site where people with family history questions can get in touch with other researchers worldwide who may either provide you with an answer to your question or guide you to where an answer might be found. This site is currently working as a beta test site but will eventually become a regular part of FamilySearch. Family History Centers
FamilySearch has a network of more than 4,500 worldwide family history centers offering free public access to genealogical records and free one on one research guidance. These centers range from the world’s largest family history library located in Salt Lake City, Utah to smaller centers located in more than 80 countries.
