There will also be a few new features to the expo hall that we’ve never had before, like the Heirloom Show and Tell and the Coaches’ Corner where you’ll get to receive one-on-one mentoring from an expert genealogist.

Inspiring Keynotes
Each morning at RootsTech, you’ll be treated to an inspiring general session with popular speakers. In 2016, attendees were treated to Paula Madison’s story of searching for her Chinese grandfather, author Bruce Feiler’s lesson of the importance of all family stories, and Doris Kearns Goodwin’s experiences of uncovering and documenting the lives of past presidents. 2017 Keynotes will be announced soon on RootsTech.org.

Exciting Entertainment
At RootsTech 2017, energetic evening events will offer you a time to relax and let your brain unwind. Opening the RootsTech conference will be a special evening featuring music and stories of the Rodgers and Hammerstein legacy. Music will be performed by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and special guest soloist Dallyn Vail Bayles, and memories and stories will be narrated by Oscar “Andy” Hammerstein III. The event will be held at the Conference Center on February 9, 8–9 p.m. Other events include a cultural celebration in the RootsTech expo hall, the 2017 Innovator Showdown, and more.

Family Discovery Day Registration Is Now Open
You and your family are invited to attend Family Discovery Day at Rootstech on Saturday, February 11, 2017.
This free one-day event will be a day of devotionals, breakout sessions, interactive activities, and entertainment to inspire you and your family to discover, celebrate, and cherish your family relationships—past, present, and future. Speakers and classes will be announced soon.
