FamilySearch now has a partnership with the New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS). With this partnership, NEHGS is allowing members of the LDS Church free access to most of its great online collections found on AmericanAncestors, the NEHGS website. In return, FamilySearch is sharing some of their record collections with AmericanAncestors.
NEHGS was founded in 1845 and is based in Boston, Massachusetts. As one of the oldest genealogical societies, it has great resources for genealogists. The Society has a broad range of records for New England and many other states, especially New York and Pennsylvania.
The online resources can be searched by name or browsed. Webinars on what is available to help you with your family research using the society’s website or library are available on the AmericanAncestors web page.
