Family History Department Direction: New Callings Pages on LDS.org

New Callings

We’re excited to announce a new family history callings website on LDS.org. Launching in 10 languages, the new site provides training and other online resources to help those serving in various family history callings. To visit the site, go to LDS.org, under Resources, then Callings, click All Callings, and then choose Family History. Or you can access the site directly here: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/family-history/temple-family-history-consultant?lang=eng.

This new LDS.org resource contains all of the training content and help resources that were formerly on the FamilySearch.org/serve website. As a result, the former page now redirects users to the new callings site on LDS.org. In addition, we will be adding new content on a regular basis.

Another thing you'll be able to do on this site is register with FamilySearch to receive our regular electronic communications. To register, change your calling, update your profile, and to receive vital emails from FamilySearch, simply click Register Here on this new callings page on LDS.org (your LDS login will be required).

Some of the new design features users will find now and in the future on the LDS.org site will include:

  • New consultant videos
  • A modular breakdown of the new online curriculum
  • A Check Your Learnings feature for each of the sections
  • A certificate of completion
  • A Get Help page with orientation, chat, phone, and email support
  • Access to a new consultant blog and newsletters

So, check this site out today. And, return over the next few weeks to see even more of what we will be delivering in the way of new and improved online training content for family history leaders. In the future, we will also be integrating some of the new help and support resources such as blogs, chat, past editions of family history newsletters, and more.
