Was your ancestor a Scottish minister? A new collection of records that was added to Ancestry.com in 2010 can help you learn more about him. These records, entitled Fasti Ecclesiae Scoticanae, deal with the succession of parish ministers in The Church of Scotland and cover the years from 1560 to 1866. These records provide information on a minister’s dates of service, family and marriage information, details of his life, and more.
The Family History Library has these records available in book form and on microfiche, for the years 1560 to 1975. In addition, FamilySearch is adding these records online through FamilySearch Community Trees.
For more information on the records, see the Fasti Ecclesiae Scoticanae article in the FamilySearch Research Wiki.
