The FamilySearch Library Record Lookup Service was created during the COVID-19 pandemic to bridge the gap in records access while FamilySearch Centers (FSCs) were closed.

The majority of FamilySearch records can be accessed either from home or from FSCs. Now that FSCs have reopened, the Record Lookup Service was discontinued 17 July 2023.

Please visit your nearest FSC for access to most records not available from home. For access to records not available at FSCs, contact the record owner or visit the FamilySearch Library (if the Catalogs show that the Library has a copy of the needed microfilm).

To locate your nearest FSC or affiliate library, search for your city at this link and click on the closest blue FamilySearch icon or orange affiliate library icon to view the relevant address and contact information.
