La antigua subdelegación de Moneda pertenecía a la circunscripción de Santa Lucía en la Municipalidad de Santiago. Actualmente el área de Moneda pertenece a la comuna de Santiago, área popularmente conocida cono Santiago Centro, en la provincia de Santiago.
