This books contains the ancestry of five immigrant families. The first was the family of Christopher Zimmerman. He married his second wife, Anna Elisabetha Albrecht, in 1714 at Bietigheim, Württemberg, Germany. He immigrated to Virginia in 1717. The next family belongs to Christoph Uhl (Yowell). He was married ca. 1705 to Eva Gottsaurin in Sulzfeld, Germany. He and his family immigrated in 1717. The record also mentions Johann Michael Uhl (Awell or Yowell). The third family is that of Anna Maria Mercklin, wife of Hans Matthias Blanckenbühler. She was born in 1693 to Hans Jacob and Anna Maria Konigunda Mercklin at Oberderdingen, Germany. She married her husband in 1714 and with him and a child immigrated in 1717. The fourth family is that of Hans Georg Wegmann. He was born in 1661 to Ulrich and Anna Wegmann. In 1685 he married to Anna Maria Sellgle and with his family immigrated to Virginia in 1717. The last family is the family of Johann Paulus Lederer (Paul Leatherer). He was born in 1709 to Johann Thomas and Anna Margreta (Stumpf) Lederer at Schwaigern, Germany. He immigrated with his family in 1732.

The Germanna colony was located in Spotsylvania County but may also have been in part of Orange County, Virginia.
