Dal 1798-1859 il comune fu chiamato Castelnuovo Colorno e Onzato. Nel 1814 fu aggregato alla città di Brescia. Dopo l'anno 1815 divenne un comune autonomo e nel 1859 il toponimo cambiò in Castel Mella. Per registri dal 1814-1815 vedi: Italia, Brescia, Brescia. Stato civile.

From 1798-1859 the town was called Castelnuovo Colorne e Onzato. In 1814 it became a hamlet of the city of Brescia and after 1815 it became an autonomous municipality. In 1859 the name was changed to Castel Mella. For records from 1814-1815 vedi: Italia, Brescia, Brescia. Stato civile.
