Register of marriages, v. 1. is a chronological list of marriages, giving register entry number, date filed, date of marriage, place of marriage, names of contracting parties, place of residence, age, race, nativity, maiden name of bride if previously married, name and position of person reporting the marriage. v. 2. contains California State Board of Health duplicate certificates of marriages. v. 6-14 contain marriage licenses, which include authorization for marriages to be performed as well as the certificate of marriage. (v. 1-5 were missing at time of filming.).
