FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Center, a branch facility of the Family History Library.

The York Family History Center has 5 computers that can be used to do research on family ancestors. We have 2 film readers and knowledgeable consultants to help you.

Open Hours:

  • Tuesday
    • Morning: 9:30 am - 11:30 am
    • Evening: 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Wednesday
    • Morning: 9:00 am - noon
    • Evening: 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Thursday
    • Morning: 9:00 am - noon
    • Evening: 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Third Saturday Morning: 9:00 am - noon

Closures include the following:

  • General Conference Weekends: the weekends of the first Sunday of April and October
  • Major Holidays: New Year's Day; Memorial Day Weekend; Independence Day; Labor Day Weekend; Thanksgiving Extended Weekend; Christmas Eve through New Year's Eve.
  • Inclement Weather according to York County Schools closures and delays.

Thursday, June 27, 2019: Susquehanna Trail Genealogy Club Presents "Free Resources in the York Family History Center". This presentation will be held in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Primary Room. Park in the smaller parking lot and access the building using any of the doors on that side of the building. The Primary Room is at the front corner of the building closest to the shopping center entrance.
