This collection is a partial index of records for the localities listed below as of April 2010. The table below shows the number of records by locality. Localities not listed may not have any records in this collection.
+
The Coverage Table shows the places and time periods of the original records in this collection. The table indicates how many records the collection has from each place. Most of the records in the collection are from the time periods listed in the table; however, the collection may have a few records from before or after the time period.
Most of these records date from the time period indicated in the columns below; however, there may be records before and after these dates. Record counts where the locality information was incomplete are included below under the country name. Because of this, you may wish to search only by state.

As this is an index of records compiled from various sources, it is strongly recommended that you verify the information in original records. Due to privacy laws not all records may be displayed.

For over 30 years, volunteer indexers extracted this information from microfilm copies of the original records. In 1998, a few of the entries were published on 7 CDs by the Family History Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as the "North America Vital Records Index." This is an index of some births and christenings throughout Wisconsin. The index is not necessarily complete for any particular place or region.

*[[Wisconsin|Wisconsin]]
Tarbox, male, born 10 Oct 1885 in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Wm. H. Tarbox and C. Esther Delts. The source film is listed as 1302882, and the reference number is 86 2391. After searching on film 1302882, many certificates throughout the film have the number 2391 on them, but none were his. After looking in the FHLC for some direction, I noticed that film 1302887 is the one that has births in the correct time period. Once that film was obtained, the certificate with the number 2391 was easy to locate!
