"WINTERTON (All Saints), asmallmarket-town, and a parish, in the union of Glandford-Brigg, N. division of the wapentake of Manley, parts of Lindsey, county of Lincoln, 8¼ miles (W. S. W.) from Bartonupon-Humber; containing 1373 inhabitants.  There are places of worship for Wesleyans and Independents."[1]
