Parish History[edit | edit source]

St Paul Dock Street, Whitechapel was one of numerous chapels of ease which were built in the early to late 19th century to handle the exponential population growth in this parish. It was created in 1847, taken partly from the parish of St John's Wapping and St Botolph Aldgate. It lay within the civil parish boundaries of St Mary Whitechapel.
