FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Center, a branch facility of the Family History Library.

We serve the Family History needs of all who visit. The Center is served by North County Transit District bus route 318.

Classes are on the 4th Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

A Guided Tour to Internet Genealogy Sages
      Your ancestor's story is your story and both are an experiance in continuous learning. Many very knowledgable people are willing to share their understanding of research process and cultures on the internet. The problem is in discovering where that information is located. 
     There are skills you can use which will improve your likelyhood of finding those that can aid you in your particular research situation. This class is a guided experiance in locating expert training in telling your family story. And, begining to build your own genealogy toolbox.

  • FamilySearch Catalog: This center has the ability to order any of the films and fiche available through the FamilySearch Catalog.
Book Room:  with a large selection of collected works and "how to" resources.

Databases and Software

  • FHC Portal This center has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions. 

Hardware and Equipment

  • Microfilm and microfiche readers, Microfilm / microfiche printers, A number of internet linked computers, Flatbed scanner for documents and photos
