The Utah State Archives is a repository of historical records that is open to the public to research. The Research Center Public access to historical records is located at:

The Utah State Archives provides many useful documents ranging back to 1850 for research. These records include death certificates, land records, legislative bills, mining claims, and incorporation records.  A catalog, name index, series inventory list, and other research guides by subject are provided to assist you with your research. Some of these records have been digitized for ease of research and can are located at: http://archives.utah.gov/digital/index.html 

Please note that many of the digitized records have associated images that are free to view which also provide additional information that can be utilized in genealogical research.
