Joy, would it be possible for you in your role as a member of the Welcoming Committee to offer contributors some guidance about the use of Copyright site material; British History Online is a site claiming copyright which moderators have objected to. See Cromwell, Nottinghamshire for an example of a time consuming series of edits needed to restore image captions and remove copyright material. I have asked the contributor responsible if they can rework some of their edits and their user talk page contains some examples of Nottinghamshire pages which have been corrected for them to work on. The work involved in re-editing allows the Nottinghamshire team and others to add appropriate content but it does deflect us from planned work for the county. Thank you for your help in supporting the contributor concerned. Royalsarah

               WELCOME!!!!       to the     " WELCOMING  COMMITTEE "

Hi Joy,

Much thanks to you, each of you, who have spent time in the Wiki with our authors and editors and all else that you do. It has helped the Wiki to grow. The Research Wiki is in its first years but it is growing and becoming a wonderful tool that helps people find answers and costs only in effort to search on their part.
We want to improve the process for Welcoming new authors and editors in the Wiki. I want to make each member of the committee aware of some improvements coming in June:
• We will have one Welcome Message Template designed to be more individualized. We hope that you will use this new welcome message. Steve Cottrell will be helping us with this.
• Please read more carefully what the contributor or editor has put on the page. The current steps listed for reviewing the contributions are good to follow.
• Avoid adding the welcome message before following the steps outlined.
• Additional items will be added in June to help the committee members know how to review the articles authored and edited by our wiki users.
.• The "question template" will stay the same.

Please put a welcome to the Wiki to Brennejb.,  Thank-you Sandralpond 15:57, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

Reversed edit to {{Add-desc-I}}

Hi Joy, I have reversed your recent edit to {{Add-desc-I}}. This is a meta-template and the edits that you made should be made to template contained on the description page for File:Sebastian.jpg. Let me know if you need further assistance. --Steve (talk | contribs) 15:55, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

Thanks from the wiki:

The FamilySearch Research Wiki is delighted to let you know that the gold stars you added to all the Featured Article pages is beautiful and much appreciated, especially by those contributors who are highlighted on the Main Page of the Wiki. Your choice of visuals for the "Papua New Guinea" article were so colorful and appropriate.  Thank you for your excellent work to help users enjoy the sites and feel valued. Your contributions make a positive impression.
You continue to made a difference in research!

Joy, thanks again for the marvelous pictures that give such personality to the wiki articles. You are a "life saver"!   Glo

Hi Joy, I've changed the image used on the page FamilySearch Wiki:WikiProject which was also being used on the Main Page as it is being featured this week from the one that represents help/support to one with a better representation of projects. --Steve (talk| contribs) 19:12, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

Award on Jbparker userpage

Hi Joy, I noticed that you've added an award to Jimmy's userpage. What you've actually done is added a copy of the whole template. To add an award just use the code {{User Gold Star|citation=}} adding the citation phrasing you wish. An example is give on the template page. --Steve (talk| contribs) 16:16, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
