Oregon FHCs

Gilliam and Sherman counties - they go to Boardman and Hermiston FHCs, not Grant County. Jefferson County, go to Deschutes County (Bend FHC), just across county line. Harney and Malheur counties (particular those in south part of them) go to Winnemucca, Nevada. Noticed Halfway (Pine Valley FHC) is new one for Baker County beside long time one at Baker City. "Looking for help" box

I'm glad to see there are people interested in helping to clean up the wiki.

I was surprised to see the "Looking for help" box appear with my discussion within the Contributors Meeting for 19 July 2011. This seems to be a misinterpretation of my intent. I'm not looking for help. I'm wanting to discuss this issue with wiki contributors. I placed an item on the agenda and expanded on the topic within the discussion page, as instructed. Please let me know why you inserted this box. Charlene Pipkin 21:21, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

Wrong type of transcription

The transcripton for Tech meeting agenda is not the kind we wanted. I am talking about who said what about what and what urls and examples shown, etc. That is the area we are missing out too much. Transcription from the recording is what I and others are seeking. Dsammy 09:17, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

File name for image uploads

Hi Sandra, I've noticed that many of the files you are uploading start with Downloaded and then a string of numbers before a recognisable name is then included. It would be helpful if these filenames were edited so as to be more user friendly before the images are uploaded. I'm guessing that you may be processing files that other users have submitted, but would it be possible for the files to be renamed before upload? --Steve (talk| contribs) 13:05, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

Outdated Pages notice to LoisFowles

Hi, Sandra. Lois Fowles was helping me move stuff from the old Research Guidance into the Wiki. We didn't have a good template to name them, so we added the "outdated" template. They probably should not be removed until someone compares them with info already in the Wiki. Fran Jensen knows a lot about that project. A list of them is in the pages related to FamilySearch Wiki:WikiProject Copy Research Guidance and Help Content into the Wiki. Hope this helps.AdkinsWH 03:53, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

Stub Removal

We at the FamilySearch Wiki would like to use this article, Humboldt County, Nevada for a featured article on the Main Page of the Wiki. However, the word "stub" appears at the very top of the page. If you feel there is enough content to give researchers a good place to work from - we need YOU to remove the word "stub" from the article before we can feature it.
Thank you for your consideration.

When redirection is a better option to deletion

Hi Sandra, I've noticed that you've been adding reasons to page that have been marked for deletion. I'm glad you are doing this as it helps other understand the reason for the request.

While there are some good reasons why deleting a page is justified there are also circumstances where a redirect is a better option.

So if you find out the reason why a user has requested that a page is deleted is due to the content having been moved - in these cases change the {{delete}} template for a redirect. --Steve (talk| contribs) 15:38, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
