My name is Janell Vasquez, and I am passionate about family history work, and especially helping other people with their family history work.  I work for FamilySearch in their Patron Services department, working with wonderful staff members and missionaries who support the [http://indexing.familysearch.org FamilySearch Indexing] program.

If you're like most of us, you like a little bit of a challenge. Indexing the same information week after week may get a little old. Some of the following ideas may help you challenge yourself once you've become an expert at one type of project:

#If you are used to indexing census projects, try a birth/marriage/death project. These are a little different because they often include multiple images. Go to Ask a Question (mentioned above) and type in "multiple image batches" to find a document that walks you through how to do these batches.

#If you are familiar with another language, try indexing something from that language. Or, if you have ancestry from another country but you're not yet familiar with that language, you can use this as a reason to become familiar with that language!  Some projects should only be done by someone more fluent in the language, but others can be done by someone familiar with specific words that show up frequently on these documents. Click Help, then Resource Guide to find resources to help you with specific languages.
