My name is Sandy Olah. I was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, but most of my growing up years were in Jamesburg and Hightstown. I am of Hungarian - German heritage.

I have spent a great deal of time searching ancestors in New Jersey, primarily Hunterdon, Union and Hudson Counties. I've just about exhausted my U.S. trails, but by no means am I done with my U.S. searching, now it's time to move my research overseas to Hungary and Germany.

I'm currently serving a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City, Utah (Oct 2011). I have been assigned to the Data Quality Department where I share my time between the Family Search Human Resources Team and the Wiki Team. I'm brand new to HR and Wiki, so bear with me folks ... this is going to be a great ride!

In my short 19 years as a member, I've served in many church positions as well as three part time missions while living in the Salt Lake Valley. The Inner-City Mission, The Joseph Smith Papers Project and as a Church Service Missionary (CSM) in Security in the Conference Center.

Researching our ancestors is the most important work we should be doing, that's Genealogy ... but equally as important and somewhat unknown to many is ... the work of Family History. Writing your family's stories.
