I am an instructional designer, working with the Family History Department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I recently finished a project in which I helped research consultants in Salt Lake City's Family History Library learn how to use the[1] website, creating lesson similar to these, scenarios for a lab, and certification questions. Currently, I am beginning a project on helping those same research consultants learn how to use FamilySearch Wiki. I am using this page to make sure I understand how to do everything in Wiki.

I have a Masters of Education in Instructional Design and Educational technology from the University of Utah. I also have a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Utah.

Family History

I am relatively inexperienced at family history, but I love what I've learned so far and plan to become much more involved. For his birthday in June, I hope to present my father with copies of documents about his great-grandfather's family, Wilhelm Ludwig Hoffman, who was born in Germany, spent time in Montana, and died in Pleasant Grove, Utah. My current focus is in finding out if he had one or two daughters named Kathrine.
  1. Ask anyone, I made that.
