Early Years:
I am Janett Ackerman Call. I was born and raised in northern California; I married and have lived in Utah ever since. Me and my husband, Jared raised 5 children on a farm in Layton Utah and have since moved from Layton.
Church Work:
I have served in most of the Auxiliary organizations in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints over my life. I also was a Ward Genealogy Consultant and worked in the local FamilySearch Center writing and publishing both with the monthly Family History newsletter. I now serve as a CSM Missionary for FamilySearch Historical Records. My assignment is in the Genealogy Resource Community team.
Employment and Volunteer Work:
 Secretary for Zone II Coordinator, Utah Association of Conservation Districts (UACD) and volunteer secretary of the Davis County Conservation Board
Related service: serving on several committees enjoying the ever expanding friendships, and experiences: I taught about soil and soil related subjects in Outdoor Classrooms and Farm Field Day for many years.
 I was the Women's Auxiliary President for UACD for 2 years: During this time, the International Rangeland Congress held it’s by-annual convention in Utah- I represented UACD on this committee, organizing Spouse activities in Salt Lake City.
 I was the Secretary/Treasurer for the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) Auxiliary for 4 years and Vice President for 1 year. Before this, I was the editor for the newsletter for this Auxiliary.
 Related to my former employment more or less, still related to agriculture: I represented the Utah Onion Association at the Utah State Fair for 4 years demonstrating about onions.
 Lastly I was asked to serve on the Utah State Extension Advisory Committee. I was there for 6 years.
 My family is always #1
 Genealogy/Family History- I have loved to find ancestors for many, many years but, I am not an expert in genealogy research! I do love to find topics related to the subject and share with others wanting to find their ancestors. I am not wonderful at writing, but I do keep a journal and have worked on several ancestors journals to print them and share with family. Sharing FamilySearch Historical Records, FamilySearch Wiki, Blog and TechTips and blogs I follow about Genealogy and related subjects is my favorite thing to do at this time in my life, this is why I am a missionary today. It has been a rewarding journey. I am not to the end of this journey yet. I will continue to share what I know and help others to continue on their genealogy journey too.
My favorite FamilySearch, Genealogy and other pages of interest;
