County Courthouse

History

Throckmorton County was originally part of the Red River Municipality under the Mexican administration. Organization was delayed until the removal of the Comanche Reservation in 1859 and the Civil War.

1858--Throckmorton County was created 13 January 1858 from Fannin Land District and Bosque County.
