Parameters legend

  • class: Options are FA, A, GA, B, Start, Stub, FL, List, Category, Disambig, Template, and NA. If blank (#default), this will default as unassessed and list the article at Category:Unassessed Indians of North America articles. NA is "not applicable". Descriptions of some of the options can be found at WikiProject Indians of North America/Quality scale.
  • importance: Top, High, Mid, Low, NA. If blank, this will default as unknown importance. Only Top will have a visible effect on the template - the other options will just assign the correct category. Descriptions of the options can be found at WikiProject Idaho/Importance scale.
  • attention: Answer yes if the page needs immediate attention. Leave blank or delete if not.
  • imageneeded: Answer yes to request a photograph, image, or map of the subject be added to the article. Leave blank or delete if not.
  • in: Used in conjunction with the imageneeded parameter to place the image request into a specific category. Leave blank or delete if not. For example, "in=Some place, Some where" will place the article talk page into Category:FamilySearch Wiki requested photographs in Some place, Some where.
  • Additional in2 and in3 parameters used in conjunction with the imageneeded parameter may be used to specify up to three total location categories (such as for celebrities and other people who may frequent multiple county locations).
  • imagedetails: This free-form parameter can be used in conjunction with the imageneeded parameter to add specific details about the images being requested. For example, "imagedetails=Please add a live-action shot to this sports article" will add the following: "An editor suggests the following: Please add a live-action shot to this sports article."
  • small: Answer yes if the template needs to be smaller and lined up vertically on the side of the talk page.

To avoid needlessly cluttering up talk pages, it is usually appropriate to remove any unused parameters from the template. A common initial configuration for the template includes the following basic parameters:
