This article needs to be eliminated, because Taos county was never in Arizona. It was a county in New Mexico Territory before Arizona was created. The information in this article is good and needs to be kept, but transfered to the New Mexico county where it belongs. For further info see [http://publications.newberry.org/ahcbp/documents/NM_Individual_County_Chronologies.htm#Individual_County_Chronologies Atlas of Historical County Boundaries, New Mexico] .

This article needs to be eliminated, because Taos county was never a county in Arizona. Taos County, Arizona is fictitious, never existed. Why do we document genealogy. Isn't it to make sure we are as accurate as possible. Then why should we pretend in something that never was. It is far better to explain what really happened.

The article called [[Previous Jurisdictions to land in Arizona]] does a much better job of explaining all the historical previous jurisdictions for land in present day Arizona. It also gives links to repositories where records may be found. It does a better job than this article ever could. I invite the elimination of this article.
