I'm not sure why this page was created. These records are not on FamilySearch. There is no indexing of these records taking place. ScotlandsPeople is the only place that images can be accessed except for the filmed collection from 1841 to 1891. Currently ScotlandsPeople is allowing subscription websites to publish transcriptions of the census from 1841 to 1901. Until there is some news that FamilySearch is going to index the Scotland Census records this page should not exist. It is my impression is that it could be 5 to 15 years before these records make it to FamilySearch if ever. Donjgen 22:01, 17 January 2012 (UTC)

The page does contain a lot of useful information for someone wanting to know about the census records, themselves. I have added a link to the FHL films mentioned in the Sources section, also. There is a link to the ScotlandsPeople website so that people will know that they can access the records there. I believe the page was created to give basic information about the census records, even though they aren't available on FamilySearch yet.Lynda 17:39, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
I would take the view that this article should complement the Scotland Census page. Much of this article is written like it is the Scotland Census Page. Are there going to be two competing pages for information. I have noticed that on the 'British Historical Records' pages, Its is like the authors have not read the current information that is on the wiki and sought to incorporate it into the articles.
