I'm not sure why this page was created. These records are not on FamilySearch. There is no indexing of these records taking place. ScotlandsPeople is the only place that images can be accessed except for the filmed collection from 1841 to 1891. Currently ScotlandsPeople is allowing subscription websites to publish transcriptions of the census from 1841 to 1901. Until there is some news that FamilySearch is going to index the Scotland Census records this page should not exist. It is my impression is that it could be 5 to 15 years before these records make it to FamilySearch if ever. [[User:Donjgen|Donjgen]] 22:01, 17 January 2012 (UTC)

: The page does contain a  lot of useful information for someone wanting to know about the census records, themselves.  I have added a link to the FHL films mentioned in the Sources section, also.  There is a link to the ScotlandsPeople website so that people will know that they can access the records there.  I believe the page was created to give basic information about the census records, even though they aren't available on FamilySearch yet.[[User:Averyld|Lynda]] 17:39, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
