Marital Status
With regard to marital status, surely it is correct to record a marital status of Single when the person's is recorded as Miss xyz? I have recently had a few of my records adjudicated and had the S removed - It seems like valid information is being lost in this process if the rule is to not record a Miss as a single woman, if this is the rule. I can find no guidance in the indexing instructions.
