I have been arbitrating Michigan marriage records.&nbsp; Some forms have a blank for "Maiden name if a widow."&nbsp; The instructions say to index the bride's name using both the maiden name and the married name on the form.&nbsp; Many indexers or indexing only the married name.&nbsp; Arbitrators need to look for this because both indexers often do this.
