Brief History

Stacyville was first organized from Township 3 Sixth Range West of the Easterly Line of the State (T3 R6 WELS) as a plantation in 1860. That organization was confirmed and made legal and valid in 1883; and the successor to the former plantation was organized in 1895. Stacyville was incorporateded as a town in 1953.[1]
