At present there have been no vital records filmed, digitized or transcribed for the eight inhabited islands that make up the 390 km2 (150 sq mi) of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

A search for Birthplace of IGI on FamilySearch will list over 151,000 records and for the Country will result in 4,400 records for "Saint Vincent", however, these are from Grenada Births and Baptisms, 1866-1891 (231 records) and from Caribbean, Births and Baptisms, 1590-1928 (11 records) mainly for Carriacon† (Grenada, West Indies).

Others are from various regions in the world such as ’Saint Vincent’ (France), ’St Vincent Street’ (Liverpool, England), ‘Kingstown’ (Somerset, NJ), ‘Kingstown’ (Newport, RI), ‘Kingstown’ (MA), ’St Vincent’ (NSW), ’St Vincent (Italy), ’S. Vicente’ (Portugal), and ‘Kingston’ (Jamaica).

The majority of entries are birth place listed on Censuses, Passengers, Border Crossings and Naturalization Lists and even some Military Records as ’St Vincent, British West Indies’ or some variant (St Vincent B.W.I).

† "Carriacon" is a mis-spelling for Carriacou an island that belongs to Grenada, and is not part of the Grenadines or Saint Vincent.

Vital records in physical form are held at the Registry office in Kingstown, St. Vincent.
