10 March 1937: Incorporated City of Roy.

Former names: Central City, Sandridge, the Basin, Lakeview between 1873 and 24 May 1894, named Roy after Roy Peebles, son of Rev. David Peebles, by sympathic settlers who were mostly LDS.
