United States Gotoarrow.png American Indians Gotoarrow.png Montana Gotoarrow.png Indians of Montana Gotoarrow.png Rocky Boy's Indian Agency (Montana) The Rocky Boy's Indian Agency is the administrative office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs on the Rocky Boy's Reservation in north-central Montana.


Rocky Boy's Agency was established shortly after Rocky Boy's Reservation was set off in September of 1916 to serve the Chippewa-Cree Indians of northern Montana.


Microfilm copies of “Narrative and Statistical Reports” for the Rocky Boy's Agency, 1905-1937, are included in National Archives Microcopy M1011, rolls 117-118, available in the National Archives system and in the collections of the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and their family history centers (their microfilm roll numbers 1724335-1724336).

Annual Indian Census Rolls were taken at this agency for 1919 thru 1939. These rolls have been microfilmed by the National Archives as part of their Microcopy Number M595, roll 426. Copies of these records are also available at the National Archives, their Regional Archives, and at the Family History Library and its family history centers (their microfilm roll number  581240).
