&nbsp;The library offers a monthly workshop to assist Boy Scouts with their Genealogy Merit Badge. The workshop is held the second Saturday of each month at 11:00 a.m.<br>Scouts must prepare for the workshop by doing the following before coming:&nbsp;
1) Interview a family member about their life. The interview can be completed by telephone, e-mail or letter and the information learned must be recorded; <br>2) Complete a four-generation pedigree chart. Make sure this includes information about at least one ancestor who was living in 1930; <br>3) Complete two family group sheets (one listing your parents and your family, and another listing one of your parents and their parents and siblings); and <br>4) Bring a blue merit badge card (which can be obtained from the Scoutmaster).
If these items are completed and brought to the workshop, all other requirements for the merit badge can be completed at the workshop and authorized personnel can certify the completion of the merit badge.

Keynote Address - "Get Priesthood Leaders Psyched" - Shipley Munson
Shipley Munson is the director of the Marketing Division of FamilySearch.&nbsp; Marketing’s role is to help people get excited about their family histories and to establish the FamilySearch brand in the minds of the general public.&nbsp;
Shipley comes to us after a 25-year career in marketing where he advised such companies as Frito-Lay, McDonald’s, Gillette, Apple Computer, Delta Airlines and Fidelity Investments.&nbsp; He and his wife, Erika, have five children and during this period lived all over the world.&nbsp; They moved to Utah in 1009 from Connecticut and currently reside in the Salt Lake area.&nbsp;
Shipley speaks seven languages.&nbsp; He has two degrees from Harvard University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.&nbsp; He has served in numerous church callings such as a seminary teacher, Institute instructor, gospel doctrine teacher, elder’s quorum president, and high priests group leader.&nbsp; He currently serves as a musical missionary and can be seen every Sunday in the Salt Lake Tabernacle during Music and the Spoken Word.<br>
