Parent County

1808--Richland County was created 30 January 1808 from Fairfield County.
County seat: Mansfield [1]

Boundary Changes

Richland County gave up land for the formation of Morrow County in February 1848.  The Townships of Congress, North Bloomfield, Perry and Troy went to Morrow County.
