RIBBY, with Wrea, an ecclesiastical church, in the parish of Kirkham, union of the Fylde, hundred of Amounderness, N. division of Lancashire containing the township of Westby with Plumptons, 2 miles west by north of Kirkham. The church, situated in Ribby, was built about the year 1715, and rebuilt in 1847. WREA, or Ribby cum Wrea was created a chapel of ease by 1715 from, and lying within the boundaries of Kirkham, Lancashire Ancient Parish.
