NOTICE OF INTEREST: Brown Photography just brought 5 boxes of photographs into the Family History Center. Very few have phone numbers. If you would like to check and see if any of these pictures belong to you please come to the Family History Center and you can go through the boxes. Most are very nice pictures. We would really like to return these to their rightful owners.

Center Resources

Collections

  • FamilySearch Catalog: This center has the ability to order any of the films and fiche available through the FamilySearch Catalog.
  • (List additional collections you have such as the types of books and microfilm you have on indefinite loan; though you will not want to list every single item you have. Just give visitors to this page a general idea of your resources.)

Databases and Software

  • FHC Portal This center has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions. (Note to FHC: Not all FHCs have access to this portal. If you do not, you will want to remove this entire bullet. If you do have access to it, just remove this text in italics.)

Hardware and Equipment

At the Family History Center we have a piece of equipment that you can use to convert slides to digital. It is very fast and is a wonderful way to make it so you can see the pictures that you took as slides.
  • We have 14 computers, Microfilm, microfiche readers and 1 copy/printers and a very nice scanner . We also have a collection of local history books. We have the records of the local Mortuaries. Our Mortuary records begin with 1925 and are updated to 2014.
