FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Center, a branch facility of the Family History Library.

The Port Angeles Family History Center is located on the south side of the Port Angeles meetinghouse.  We serve the west end of Clallam County including the communities of Port Angeles, Sequim, Joyce, and Forks.  All interested in genealogy and family history are invited to come to the center for assistance, to research, or to attend classes.

  • Address: 591 Monroe Road, Port Angeles, WA 98362
  • Enter on the southwest side of building.  Use the sidewalk from the parking lot on the south side to the front of the building.  Enter the Family History Center from the first set of doors facing Monroe Road.  Please ring doorbell (on the wall to your right) for admission.

  • Tuesday: 10 am - 9 pm
  • Wednesday: 10 am - 2 pm & 6 pm to 9 pm
  • Thursday: 10 am - 9 pm
  • Friday: 6 pm - 9 pm

Holiday Schedule: 2012 Closures

  • Thanksgiving Holiday: Tuesday - Friday, November 20 - 23)
  • Christmas Holiday: last two weeks of  December (Tuesday, December 18 - Tuesday, January 1, 2013)

Calendar and Events

Upcoming Events:

October 20, 2012 - 9 am - 4 pm.  The Fourth Annual Port Angeles Family History Center Jamboree will be held.  This is a FREE Community event.  The Keynote Speaker will be Lisa Louise Cooke.  She will do a virtual presentation to start the event and present another class after lunch.  A variety of research classes will be offered to participants.  Pre-registration is recommended to assure your desired class.   More information will be forthcoming.

  • Family History Library Catalog: This center has the ability to order any of the films and fiche available through the Family History Library Catalog.
