Lower Yanktonai, Lower Brule, Miniconjou, and Two Kettles bands on the Crow Creek reservation, and the Lower Brule and Lower Yanktonai bands on the Lower Brule reservation

History

The Pierre Agency was established in 1954 at the merger of the Crow Creek Agency and the Pierre Indian School. The agency was suspended in 1972[1].

Records

Some records of the Pierre Agency are in the Central Plains Regional Archives of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in Kansas City[2].
