Known Issues

NOTE: Most records are available on microfilm. These films can be viewed at the Family History Library or some FamilySearch Centers. Call ahead to check if the film is available at your local center.

Question #1: The record detail pages refer to affiliate films that are not available in the Catalog. How can I cross reference to order a microfilm for viewing at a FamilySearch Center?
Answer #1: A cross-reference from the Affiliate Film Number to a valid GS Film number in the Catalog can be found on the website OGSPI 1861 Census Menu . You can also search the Catalog section Census of Canada, 1861 to find the desired microfilm to order. Search either source by county, and then township.
