FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Center, a branch facility of the Family History Library.

Our center is located in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nashua, New Hampshire. We serve southern New Hampshire and parts of Massachusetts. Anyone is welcome to visit; we have a wide variety of books, microfilms, and microfiche available for patrons to use.

  • Wed: 10am - 2pm; 6:30pm - 9pm
  • Thurs: 10am - 2pm; 6:30pm - 9pm
  • Sat: 10am - 3pm

Dates closed in July

The Nashua Family History Center will be closed on the following dates in July:
  • July 24, 2014 - Morning shift only.  We will be open in the evening.

Staff Training Meetings

Next training meeting will be held on September 21, 2014, at 4:30pm in the Family History Center at the Stake Center in the Relief Society room.

What's New at the Center

Digital camera has arrived!

The digital camera kit for use with the microfilm/microfiche readers has arrived.  Please feel free to ask about the camera next time you stop in to the center.

Center Resources


  • This center able to receive any of the films and fiche available through the Family History Library Catalog. Patrons should order the films indicating the Nashua Family History Center as their center.
  • Corbin Collection on microfilm
  • 1881 Census of England and Wales on microfiche
  • 1881 Census of Scotland on microfiche
  • British Civil Registry including births, deaths, and marriages
  • Miscellaneous films in our permanent collection for the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and some other European countries

Databases and Software

  • This center has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions.
  • ArkivDigital Software recently installed for use by patrons.

Hardware and Equipment

  • 3 computers for patrons with access to premium websites as noted above
  • 1 microfiche reader
  • 5 microfilm readers
  • Printer
  • Flatbed Scanner
  • Digital camera, card reader, and monopod

  • Nashua Historical Society
  • Hunt Room at the Nashua Public Library - has an extensive collection of local genealogical resources.

Volunteer at the Center

We are always happy to have volunteers.  A love of genealogy is the primary qualification.  You must be comfortable with computers and be available at least twice a month during our regularly scheduled hours of operation.  Please contact the Family History Center directors if you are interested in helping to staff the center.
