Molunkus (also known as South Molunkus) is an extinct plantation, now an unorganized territory (township) in the South Aroostook townships of Aroostook County. Molunkus Plantation was organized from TA R5 WELS and T1 R4 WELS in 1844. Macwahoc Plantation was formed from the T1 R4 part of the Molunkus Plantation in 1851. The remainder was reorganized in 1851, 1854, 1860, and 1883. The plantation organization was surrendered at a time after 1883, and it has since remained unorganized territory.[1] [2]
