  • 1st Regiment, Missouri Cavalry (Union)
    Organized at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri, September 6, 1861.
    Regiment consolidated to 7 companies September 10, 1864. Served in various locations. With 7th Army Corps, to September, 1865.
  • 1st Regiment, Missouri Engineers (Union)
    Organized February 17, 1864, by consolidation of Bissell's Engineer Regiment of the West and 25th Regiment Missouri Infantry. Attached to Defences of Nashville and Northwestern Railroad, Department of the Cumberland, to August, 1864. Engineers Sherman's Army to July, 1865.
  • 1st Regiment, Missouri State Militia Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Missouri, May 13, 1862, by consolidation of various companies State Militia Infantry raised at St. Louis, Missouri. Served as prison guard and Provost guard at St. Louis until September 28, 1862.

  • 2nd Regiment, Missouri Light Artillery (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Missouri, as 1st Regiment, Missouri Artillery, U. S. Reserve Corps, September 16 to November 6, 1861.
    Designation changed to 2nd Missouri Artillery November 20, 1861.
    Consolidated to a Battalion of 5 Companies September 29, 1863.
  • 2nd Regiment, US Reserve Corps, Missouri Infantry Union Missouri Reorganized at St. Louis August 23 to September 20, 1861. Attached to District of St. Louis to October, 1861. 4th Division, Army of the Southwest, to May, 1862. 2nd Division, Army of the Mississippi, to June, 1862. 5th Division, Army of the Mississippi, to August.

  • 3rd Regiment, Missouri Cavalry (Union)
    Organized at Palmyra, Missouri, and St. Louis, Missouri, October 15, 1861, to March 6, 1862. At various locations. With Separate Cavalry Brigade, 7th Army Corps, to June, 1865.
  • 3rd Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Missouri, September 3, 1861, to January 18, 1862. At various locations, then with 3rd Brigade, 1st Division, 15th Army Corps, to November, 1864.

-4th Units

  • 4th Regiment, Missouri Cavalry (Union)
    Organized February, 1862, by consolidation of Fremont Hussars and three Companies Hollan Horse.
    Served in various locations, then at Department of Texas to November, 1865.
  • 4th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Missouri, by consolidation of Gasconade Battalion and 3rd Regiment United States Reserve Corps January, 1862.
    Mustered out February 1, 1863.
